The world overall has dramatically changed in the last 20 months. Changes in the workplace started earlier in the 2000s but they have been quickly catalyzed. What does the workplace look like moving forward? It’s not only remote work, but the different business ideas that automation, interconnectivity and overall technology has moved forward. And most importantly, how does the new workplace help women take advantage of the shifting market?

Alexandra Nuth, Co-founder and COO (Control)

Alex helps lead Control, a fintech building financial management tools for freelancers to help level the playing field between traditional employment and flexible work. She has experience building digital products and ventures across a variety of industries and most notably built a digital bank from scratch for a Canadian bank. She has an MBA from Queen’s and a BComm from the University of Calgary. In 2018 she was selected one of the Canada’s Top 100 Powerful Women. Outside of work you can find her in the mountains with her two large dogs and husband.

Alexandra Sluchevsky, Product Owner (Teck Resources)

Alexandra has had a varied career centered around building analytics tools that drive data-driven decisions. While the industries have varied (from marketing to e-commerce to healthcare to heavy industry), the end goal has stayed the same: build tools that users love, telling stories that drive action. In her current role, Alexandra is primarily responsible for the data science and analytics products within the Maintenance Transformation space at Teck Resources. Additionally, she provides product leadership on the site-to-cloud data ingestion across hundreds of disparate data sources.

Irene Guglielmi, Digital Workplace Initiative Director (Ministry of Citizens Services)

Irene has worked for the BC Public Service since 2006 leading portfolios such as the Nature of Work, Corporate Onboarding, Service Design, and the Exchange Lab in a variety of roles focused on strategic communication, stakeholder engagement and transforming government approaches to service delivery. She is a creative thinker and passionate public servant with a drive to make things better for employees and citizens. She brings a wealth of experience working with teams, executives, and at the leadership level bringing ideas to life while transforming service and program delivery. Outside of the office, Irene loves to travel, cook, try new restaurants, and spend time with friends and family.

Tricia Hollyer, EVP of People, Culture and Community (Nexii Building Solutions)

Tricia is an award-winning visionary HR executive who has worked with global, high-growth companies from start-ups to established public firms in the technology, services, and health care industry for more than 25 years. She currently works as EVP of Nexii, who’s mission is to build a vibrant future for people and the planet through their revolutionary net-zero building system. Tricia is a Certified Executive Coach with the International Coach Federation, holds a Masters Degree in Leadership and Organizational Development, and holds CHRP and HSDP designation. Her expertise and passion for people strategy has won her awards from the Organization Development Network for Organizational Excellence and Impact in 2019 and from the BC Health Care for Workplace Health Innovation in 2020.
